Corin Purifoy
(she/they) is a Black queer fiber artist and designer from Milwaukee, WI. She began working with yarn in 2012, after walking into a group therapy session where everyone was crocheting. “I’m not domestic,” they thought. “I’ll never do that.” Three days later they were crocheting their first blanket.
She believes that fiber arts, and the arts as a whole, can bring peace, love and community into our lives. They believe that creating is why we were created, and find such joy in playing with string. They design for all races, all genders, all sizes, for those of us who don’t fit in, don’t have a place - because you always have a place with them.
